Business has never been about competition. I mean, Business has never been about competition. I mean, if you see it as a competition, it definitely is. 

But imagine this, there is always more than one option for a product or a service. True, one might be bigger, better and greater than the other. 

But the important thing to remember is, there is room for everyone as far as it solves a purpose and is of good value in every way.

Focus on getting better. Don't let competition cloud your vision.

Well well well. I have been on the edge with socia Well well well. I have been on the edge with social media for a while. I think this change may just push me out. Facebook ditches it's identity as a connecting people platform to 'a virtual reality space where users can interact with each other in a computer-generated environment'.

I am not excited for what's ahead. Am sure it's going to be new digital experiences but it's also far from the REAL reality and I don't enjoy living in far reaching fantasies.

From sales, investment, partnership, collaboration or any other type of proposal, the aim is to present a comprehensive, convincing and fact based document that can persuade, bring confidence, resolve a problem, so the other party can happily enter into a business relationship with you.

If you do a quick Google search, you will find innumerable templates as to what are the titles, number of pages, illustrations etc that need to go into a business proposal, but what sells is not a format but presenting a defensible argument in your proposal that can speak for itself. 

Do your due diligence before working on a proposal, it goes a long way in brand perception and ease of transition.

I tell all my small business owners clientele to p I tell all my small business owners clientele to prioritise on innovating and building a great product or offering an exceptional service before they allot a huge marketing budget. 

There is no doubt that scalability and marketing reach go together. But haven't we all heard a great product sells itself.

Today the digital age has opened up opportunities for everyone, and that's great. People can build their lives and create financial freedom and security through their own buisness.

But a lot of businesses I see are just replicating what other brands do. Perhaps they don't and they are better, but guess what, it doesn't get conveyed in their brand messaging. Its so so important to market your overall mission than just the product benefits. 

The smart customers of today prioritize brand value over branded products.

Corporate communication is intended for investors Corporate communication is intended for investors and general public. It may include policies, procedures, company updates and internal processes. The intention is to enlighten and inform them about what the company does.

Marketing communication is geared towards clients, customers and potential customers i.e. target audience. The intention is to educate and persude them in the purchase of their product and service.

And like I said the former is key in brand building and the latter for lead generation.

The number one skill when engaging with business o The number one skill when engaging with business owners to understand their requirements is to let them say their piece without interrupting or offering suggestions in the middle of them speaking.

When you start thinking when they talk, you may not fully understand their pain points and in most case, business owners (especially small businesses) don't really know the area they are struggling.

So as a business communication personal and a brand consultant, I let them say their piece and then ask relevant questions to unearth the areas they want assistance. Every business is different and every business owner mentality is different.

32% of customers break away from brands they love if they have one bad experience. That's how expensive relationship building is in the marketplace.

When you speak or write in business settings, ensure it comes from a place of honesty and transperancy, which may not be well received at all times but will be honoured in the long haul.

Don't try offensive gimmicks and slanderous rhapsody while writing content for your brand. It may fly for sometime, become viral even. But it will not be for the right reasons and will soon head for a downward spiral.

2) Evaluate and differentiate the quality, pricing and customer experience offered by you and your competitors

3) Present your offering as the perfect solution - add realistic and proven value. 

4) Create a unique brand voice and customer experience specifically produced on your core beliefs

5) Approach your audience with confidence. Share value and operate with forethought.
