Google Analytics told me the most visits I get on my blog are from China.
Call me preposterous but I immediately had a mental image of the audience who were indulging on my blog, ever so often.
It feels personal and intriguing, so I picked your names and gave you faces and this blog post is for you.
Thank you for dropping by to read the words I write. Isn’t it magical and mysterious to know that my words have moved you and I don’t even know you. This is true for all writers. We write without knowing who it will reach, but I have never been okay with that. I write, so I may know you, befriend you. Hear from you and know more about you. I write as a form of expression, but it is also me longing to know and see and meet the people who resonate with me. Would you say why be authentic and vulnerable in this world, its become too fake and gay?
But till the time the sun continues to rise, the flowers bloom, people seek God and someone reads the words I write, I believe there is enough good in this world for my life to keep going.
I have been reading Russian literature of late, some Korean authors and also about the holocaust. I don’t know why, every 4 years or so I revisit books of great tragedy and human suffering. May be I feel suffering is the common language of humans. You can suffer differently, but I am sure pain feels the same irrespective. Without help is not much of a travesty as without hope. Humans should never ever run out of hope. We are made in the image and likeness of God, and so even if all is lost. We still have God. The way God shows up for His children is not the same as how people show up for others.
God visits only when you admit you cannot do without God. Feels arrogant right, but He is the creator of the Universe and He knows why He wants you in that chokehold, so simple surrender and don’t resist. He is a compassionate Father.
This is just impromptu, I wanted to say thanks for being my reader. I appreciate you and wish you a joyous holiday season and Blessed New Year because – I know you will be reading :). I hope we get to meet someday. Let me know, God willing I may visit Hong Kong next year. It is my great desire to visit the villages of China (from seeing the YT videos), I would come if you promise to join me as a guide. Hope you are doing well and are thriving at whichever season in life you are.
Thinking of you,
Getsy
